He wants to give guidance and disseminate knowledge. Isak Langfors is one of Special Olympics Sweden’s first messengers.
– I think it’s going to be a great and tight group, he says.

Isak Langfors is 24 years old and lives in Uppsala. He is putting in a lot of time and effort as a youth leader in Siriusbollen, a football club for people with intellectual disabilities.
When Isak Langfors was asked to be a messenger for Special Olympics Sweden he didn’t hesitate to say yes.
– It’s cool to be one of the first messengers in Sweden, he says.

In November, about a dozen messengers underwent their first days of training together with a number of mentors.
– The first day was great and now we know more about what we as messengers are suppose to contribute to in the future.

The messengers will for instance help out during the Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games and the Special Olympics World Winter Games Sweden 2021. Isak, who is a board messenger, will, for instance, participate in the Youth leadership program.

What kind of messenger do you want to be?
– I want to be a messenger who gives guidance and helps others on important issues and in the knowledge piece – I get knowledge and can give back knowledge.
